Wooooooooooooooooooh! The ghosts are back!
Ghosts in the Gardens returns and for the first time, it’s across York. Look out for a jilted bride, a thoughtful fisherman and a medieval knight…even a few spooky animals!
Cementing York’s reputation as one of the ghostliest cities in Europe, the York BID (Business Improvement District) has installed 25 wire sculptures in green spaces across the city, including the Hall’s garden. Other spots to spot these eerie figures are at the Treasurer’s House, Middleton’s Hotel, Barley Hall, York Museum Gardens, The Artists Garden and St Anthony’s Garden.
Ghosts In The Gardens runs in the Hall’s garden from 23rd September until 7th November 2022. The Hall and its garden will be open from 10.00am to 4.30pm Sunday to Friday and 10.00am to 1.30pm on Saturdays. Occasionally, the Hall’s garden may be closed (see our visit page for information) but the sculptures can be seen at all times from Piccadilly.
